- Hans-Kristian Hoejsgaard, became Bonhams Chairman of the Board in 2020. Since then, he has worked with the Bonhams Leadership Team on the company’s historic growth and expansion in the Global Art and Antiques core market. Hoejsgaard spearheaded the acquisitions of a number of key auction houses: Bukowskis in Sweden (acquired in January 2022); Bruun Rasmussen in Copenhagen (March 2022); and Cornette de Saint Cyr in Paris (June 2022). He was interim global CEO of Bonhams in 2024. Hoejsgaard has lived and worked around the world with 10 years in Asia, 3 years in the US, before returning to Europe. He has more than 30 years of experience in global luxury and FMCG industries. Currently he is Vice-Chairman of Barclays Bank Suisse (SA), and Chairman of Wineandbarrels. He is also a CEO Mentor with Merryck. Previously Hoejsgaard was CEO of MCH group, the owner of Art Basel and subsequently a non-executive Board member. Previous CEO roles include tenures at Davidoff, Georg Jensen, Timex and Coty. Hoejsgaard, who is Danish by birth, speaks four languages and is co-author of Experience Leadership in Practice. He lives in Switzerland.
