Biography
Karim Crippa is the Director of Art Basel Paris, a role he assumed in November 2025. In this position, he leads the show's artistic and strategic development, working closely with participating galleries, collectors, partners, and the city of Paris to further consolidate the fair as one of Europe’s most dynamic platforms for Modern and contemporary art. Born in Zurich in 1991, raised in Lausanne, and based in Paris, Crippa has built a career at the intersection of communications, content production, digital culture, and the visual arts. Before joining Art Basel in 2018, he held positions at leading international institutions including Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary (Vienna) and Haus der Kunst (Munich), and collaborated on major exhibitions with artists such as Ragnar Kjartansson, Cerith Wyn Evans, Sharon Lockhart, and Thomas Struth.
