- Biography
- Julien Lombrail is a French gallerist and entrepreneur, and the co-founder of Carpenters Workshop Gallery, established in London in 2006 together with Loïc Le Gaillard. Under his co-direction, Carpenters Workshop Gallery has become an international reference in the field of collectible design, pioneering a model that blurs the boundaries between art and design. The gallery represents leading contemporary designers and artists, producing limited-edition works that combine conceptual ambition, material experimentation, and exceptional craftsmanship. Julien Lombrail has played a key role in developing the gallery’s curatorial vision and international expansion, with spaces in London, Paris, New York, and Los Angeles. Through close collaborations with designers, artists, and master craftsmen, he has contributed to redefining the status of design as a collectible and cultural medium. With a strong commitment to innovation and production, Julien Lombrail continues to support experimental practices and to promote design as a form of contemporary expression, situated at the crossroads of art, architecture, and craft.
