Biography
Vadim Grigoryan is a distinctive and idiosyncratic creative director and luxury and culture brand strategist. Born in Baku, Vadim studied robotics and received an MBA form INSEAD where he lead an award-winning strategic project for Diesel. He joined Pernod Ricard as marketing director for Eastern Europe, repositioning Ararat, Chivas Regal, Olmeca, Perrier-Jouët and Martell. His success prompted a move to Paris as an international Director of Creativity and Luxury for the group. From Paris he oversaw Absolut’s return to the art world – arranging collaborations with the prestigious Documenta’13 and the Venice Biennale. The New York Times named one of Vadim’s led projects of the highlights of Art Basel. Vadim is currently the co-founder of X MUSE (‘tenth muse’) upscale vodka brand from Scotland inspired by artists, such as Ian Hamilton Finley, Charles Jencks or Marcel Duchamp. Vadim also consults brands and institutions, such as Cartier, Loro Piana, The Macallan, Ruinart, Moët-Hennessy, Azulik (ecoresort in Tulum), Group Coty, Evian Resort, Mugler, or Art Basel, on art direction, cultural and creative strategy. Vadim has written several case studies published by INSEAD and regularly lectures at INSEAD, ESSEC and Sorbonne. He is the author of Art Thinking, a book on the complex intersection of art and brands.
